Oil Blaze 1933

On 9th January 1933, firefighters had to deal with 100 foot flames blaing from a burning 84,000 gallon petrol tank, which was threatening to set fire to adjacent containers.

The fire raged on all day and through the night. 21 hours later, the flames suddenly stopped, leaving a badly damaged container to be removed.
